With the close of third year and transition to a research year, I'm hoping that this year will bring a much-needed change of pace, reevaluation of goals, and opportunity to gain some perspective and frankly, just think. Third year was a reality check, and I've realized that I need to change how I process things and take care of myself. With this in mind, I'm creating a bucket list of things, small and big, vague and specific, to help me stay focused on what I'd like to do this year:
[ Yes! ] Grocery shop in Chinatown for fresh vegetables - Also for my birthday brunch. Hollow vegetable and bok choy with shitake mushrooms...so good!
[ Yes! ] Cook dinner for my friends here - For my birthday brunch!
[ ] Exercise formally at least 2-3 times a week
[ Yes! ] Cook for myself at least once a week- Check out the recipes I'm posting
[ ] Learn to meditate
[ Yes! ] Participate in a social dance - Contradance, anyone?
[ ] Explore religion
[ ] Call my friends from college
[ Yes! ] Go to an art museum - Hello Degas, I love you.
